Anemone White
Anemone White
These white anemones with black centers are sometimes referred to as ‘Panda”. Some of the first flowers to bloom in spring. 90 days after planting, the first, shorter blooms will appear. Cut them for your bud vase. As the season progresses, the stems will get longer, reaching 15-24”. Anemones are very productive plants, often producing 10-20 flowers per bulb. They don’t need alot of space, so these are really great to grow in pots too.
Anemones need to be planted in full sun and need the cooler temperatures of winter and early spring to grow. Use frost protection if the temperatures fall below freezing. Plant them in late Fall in Zones 7 and higher, or plant them in Early Spring in colder climates. They need well drained soil and limited watering. Growing instructions are included with your purchase. You can also read more about how we grow ranunculus and anemone on our blog post here.
